The last time we went on any vacation, the last thing I was thinking about was fashion items that I would need to pack. Reason? We were going camping. That's our annual vacation. It's anything but fashion forward.
However, the more I think about it, the more I do need at least a couple of fashion friendly items to pack into my camping gear.
Going on vacation is an exciting time for anyone. It’s the time of year you get to spend with loved ones or family without any (or many) interruptions or distractions.
5 Fashion Items Every Lady Needs On Vacation
It can be just as exciting (or crazy) leading up to the vacation as well as being on it. It's so easy to get thrown into the whole “what should we pack” and “do we have the right travel documents” stress. With that in mind, here are a few essentials to make the packing side a little easier and share with you some of the fashion items to pack for your next vacation.
Easy & Versatile Jewelry
With it comes to fashion items, accessories are just as important as the outfit, especially while on vacation. Some jewelry can be a little hard to wear in the heat. So make sure you pack some easy to wear things that will transform your look without making you feel hot and sweaty.
Keep the bulkier items for later in the evening, or leave them home. Fashion items like wrap bracelets and statement earrings will be a good route to go.
Make sure that what you pack is bright and colorful. You are more likely to wear colorful things on vacation so the choice of jewelry can be an extension of that.
Swimwear That is Comfortable & Confident
Most women will tell you that thought of wearing a bikini on the beach can fill them with dread. This is because the stomach area of a woman's body is one of the things that some women feel less confident in.
So while on vacation you want to make sure you look great but also comfortable. When you're confident in what you are wearing, you'll feel great. When it comes to plus size swimwear, the styles have advanced so much and can give you the confidence to look and feel your best. So take the time to choose the right swimwear for you.
A fantastic pair of shades
No vacation wardrobe would be complete without a fantastic pair of shades. You will be rocking this for most of the day and perhaps into the evening. So make sure you pick a pair that fit well and look great.
It used to be that certain sunglasses were only for certain face shapes, I say pick a pair that you love, feel confident in and rock it girl! Try on several pairs, look in the mirror and check yourself out.
A great tip would be to try a few different styles and compare which ones look the best & protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. While you're at it, make sure you pack the sunscreen as well. Keep the eyes & skin protected at all times and you'll thank me later.
On vacation, you are likely to do a little bit of exploring here and there. Even if you worship the sun (I mean who doesn't love to sunbathe?) you will still be doing some walking to restaurants or bars. So you definitely need to pick a comfortable footwear so your feet don't hurt at the end of the day. Sometimes your feet can swell in the heat so bear that in mind when packing the shoes you want to take.
Stylish Poolside Cover-Up
Finally, pick out a few cover ups that can take you from the pool side to the bar side with little effort. There are so many different fabrics to choose from. Be sure to pick a fabric that is light & airy, since they will help keep you cool while the sun is beaming down.
Kaftans are great for this as you can get some with beautiful embellishment in all different lengths. This means if you prefer to be quite covered up you could go for a maxi dress length.
Cover-ups or Kaftans are one of the fashion items that you can wear poolside, lounging in the room, or even at home. They are versatile and beautiful.
Let’s hope this has helped you with any packing woes you might face for your summer vacation.
