I know you’re probably thinking I’m crazy for saying that I’m okay with FortNite taking over our home, and you’re probably right. It’s a game my son loves, is into and even though he can get a little out of hand at times. It shows his determination to keep getting better. Here’s the thing, so many people are against video gaming, especially FortNite, because they say it doesn’t teach kids today how to succeed. I believe it’s quite the opposite. Kids who are playing video games, whether it’s FortNite, COD, GTA, etc.
So it’s obvious that I don’t have teen girls, if you check out the rest of my blog. However, I do have teen sons, who are friends with tons of teen girls so I’m going off the things that these girls would like for this year’s Holiday Gift Guide for Teen Girls. Surprisingly, the teen girls that I’ve encountered, are not as picky as my boys, however, there are definitely a few things more that girls like make up, glitter, etc. The hottest things on the girls lists of course are the glitter, unicorn and rainbows. That’s really all ages though! There’s a few things on this guide that I secretly want. Maybe I can hint to my husband and tell him to look over every guide for hints for me this year!
Being a mom of two teen sons, they are confusing lil’ boogers for holiday gift giving. So, I asked them what the “cool kids” are wanting this year for Christmas, in hopes to help you, folks, out. The kids are on top of what they want/need for Christmas sometimes more than “consumer marketing” so that’s why I asked for their input this year. My youngest tends to be the one that knows the “stuff” that’s popular so I consulted him a little more this year than I have in the past. Kids today are so picky. It’s just crazy! You have the joggers, hoodies, games, etc. Raising two boys, I just don’t get the “Girls are so hard to buy for! They are soo picky!” My boys are freakin’ picky I tell ya! REALLY picky!
I’m sure many of you so-called men are sick of hearing about how boys are raised to respect women. Oh well. If you’re a man, you shouldn’t have to be sick of hearing it, you should be helping us change it. Well, let me tell you something…. us women are sick of you so called men being disrespectful to women so much that we have to raise our sons to be respectful. We shouldn’t have to instill respect to our sons if they had men in their lives that respect women. This isn’t going to be a bash men post, it’s a post about how I teach my sons to respect women. As much as I know some women would love for me to do that, but because I know there are far more men out there that do respect women and treat all of the women in their lives with the utmost respect, love, and care.
