The beginning of the year, we all have changes we want to start the year off with. Some it’s losing weight, others they want to become a better person mentally & emotionally, others may quit smoking or even wanting to start a home business. I’ve talked about some of my favorite tips here if you haven’t yet taken the plunge. A home business is a good way of boosting your income, whether it’s something you take on full-time to replace your current career, or if it’s merely a side-hustle in your spare time. If you have already started your own home business, or if you are still at the planning stage, you might want to know how to grow your business. No matter how small your operation is, there are still ways to increase your profits and expand what you do.
Ever since I was probably about 19-20 yrs old, I’ve attempted to start several home-based businesses! I’ve sold makeup, leggings, and now I sell decals, shirts, mugs, and more. Something that I have learned over the years is that you have to WORK at your business, in order to succeed, which is why I haven’t been very successful prior to the decals and such. Budding business people are always on the hunt for useful tips that they can use for their home-based business. More and more people now are interested in creating a home-based business because of the endless opportunities available online, even less knowledgeable individuals.
Some of my awesome readers may think it’s easy to be a blogger, but I’m telling you it’s really not! I don’t have hours (despite what my Facebook page says). I literally work from the moment I wake up in the morning until 4 hrs past the time I should have gone to sleep. I get 50 emails daily BEFORE 10 am, and that’s on a GREAT day! I’ve woken up and had 150 emails before 8 am before from Public Relations companies, Brands or even businesses themselves. Some are awesome and just letting us know of something they are about to launch, others are asking us to promote some upcoming product of theirs.
An Entrepreneur would emphasize the importance of patronizing their ideas. When they shook hands with it, an entrepreneur knows that’s the start of a brand new day. But meeting up with the expectations is not all that there is. An entrepreneur’s responsibility doesn’t stop there. Their mind should always think beyond the unthinkable and recheck their assets to support it. The cost is great but the risks are greater. An entrepreneur not only sacrifices their reputation at stake but also their trust fund.
Not many businesses endeavor to find out what their customers want! Owners assume they know. Big mistake! If you want to grow your business, find out what your customers expect of you. How can you do this? Ask them! Why not have an ‘Expectations Week’. Tell your staff that this week’s goal is to ask customers what they expect of the business. Set a target of approaching a certain number of customers a day and just ask, “If I was to ask you what your top 3 expectations of doing business with us are, what would they be?”
