Everyone knows the importance of making simple upgrades to their homes can add not only function but can increase your home value if you ever decide to sell your home. If you are not a homeowner, a few ways to have healthy home updates do not have to mean a complete reno, so you can easily add things to your home without renovating without the landlord's approval.

While you may feel that cleaning and maintaining your home are enough to ensure that everyone is healthy, other types of upgrades can make for a healthy home. However, being health-conscious should also involve making the right healthy home updates that will keep your family safe and healthy. Are you looking to implement more health-conscious upgrades in your home? Then consider the following tips.

Create a Workout Space

If you have an unused room in your home, you can try turning it into a home gym. Depending on your budget, you do not need to set up a 5-star gym with all the equipment available. All you have to do is focus on the kinds of workouts you want and the equipment you need. Plus, you do not always need to have equipment in your home gym to work out. Just creating enough space for your home workouts would suffice. Adding a home workout space means that you will be more inclined to improve your health.

I personally love yoga. While it isn't a high impact workout, it helps out those higher impact workouts. When it comes to yoga, for the most part, you'll stay in a small space. However, that doesn't mean you won't be moving around. I suggest making sure you have at least 6-7ft diameter space. So if you're in a living room, make sure you're not going to bump into the couch, coffee table, the kids toys, etc.

Best way to figure out if you have enough space, lay down on your belly in the center of your mat, stretch out your arms and legs and rotate. If you touch anything besides the floor, it's too close. Move the item or your mat.

Add an air purifying system

The air you breathe in your home should be safe at all times; that is why it is essential to ensure that you upgrade your indoor air quality device as often as necessary. You can also add an air purifier into your home. This technology is not a new one, as it has been available for several years now. Yet, its efficiency cannot be underestimated, as the technology continues to improve every year. An air purifying system helps to filter and clean the air in your home. It gets rid of dander, dirt, and other kinds of debris that fill the air and make your family sick.

Installing a Robotic Vacuum

Vacuuming is one of my most hated chores because of how heavy our vacuum is, plus, we still have to use bags, not a bagless canister, and they can be just frustrating. Keeping the floors clean helps with allergies, asthma, and many other health conditions. If you have pets, you already know that keeping your home clear of dander can also help keeping those health disorders at bay.

The DEEBOT OZMO 950 provides powerful cleaning, thanks to 200mn battery life, Max+ Suction Power Mode for deeper cleaning, SmartNavi 3.0TM with updated virtual boundaries and multi-floor mapping, and OZMOTM technology for two-in-one mopping and vacuuming.

Install a water softener

Aside from the fact that hard water can cause a lot of stress to your plumbing system, it is also very harsh on the skin and wears heavily on electric appliances, which reduces their life expectancy. First, conduct a test to see if you have hard water flowing through your taps. If you do, then it is best to install a water softener to deal with the problem. The installation helps to ensure that you have soft water running through every faucet in your home, and therefore, eliminating the harmful effects of having hard water in your home.

Filter your drinking water

Installing an in-home water filtration system is one effective way of filtering your drinking water. Plus, it also helps to minimize the cost of living healthy. A water filtration system helps to clean the tap water you drink, which will significantly reduce your dependence on bottled water and save you a lot of money in the process. The system helps to cut out chlorine and other forms of water contaminants, leaving your tap water healthier and tasting fresh. Water filtration systems come at different costs, depending on the brand and other factors you prefer.

These tips are bound to help you and family in creating a healthy home environment and if you have not thought about doing some healthy home renovations, you should!

I love all things Supernatural, Harry Potter, elephants, sunflowers, crystals, occult, crafting, coffee, wine, and online shopping. Have a TikTok, PokemonGo & Elder Scrolls addiction, I've always loved plants, recently I became a houseplant mom, and am currently growing over 15 varieties in our home! Now if I could get my outside gardens to flourish I will be happy. When I'm not tending to the home, pets, plants, or hanging out on the couch catching up on my shows, I'm doing some type of crafting or DIY project. (Or I'm pestering my husband in the barn.)
